did i do right buying hoover not dyson?
and i thought they didnt do one.
well today there were two posts.
capital one sent me yet another free pen in the first post (the rest of their rubbish went into the recycle bin). and that should have been it.
but no, merry easter! you get two!
a bucket load of "delivered by royal mail" junk was shoved through the door in the afternoon.
now my post can come anytime between 9 and 4 (the price for being in the middle of nowhere like london :) ) so if i hadnt seen the first post i wouldnt have known they are happy to come twice when paid to do so.
so my second pen of the day (thanks cancer charity, your stuff, along with 2 from norwich union, 1 for direct line, 2 for sky and 1 for ntl all went into the bin).
now how many cows can i buy people in africa with all these pens i now have...
i have never understood why the police charge football stadiums for being policed.
the police are paid for by our taxes.
football is extremely expensive to go and watch.
so it is mainly a past time enjoyed by tax payers.
therefore the police charge extra when 50,000 tax payers gather together.
thus the portion of our tax that goes on social spending just seems to be for statues no one knows are even erected.
60 years ago i am sure people heard this sound all the time, but it was either our gloriously brave lads flying off to save the country, or their equally brave lads trying to flatten it.
today we have a squadron of 1000 flymos having an audible dogfight with an equally strong force of qualcasts.
its the start of summer, the battle between man and mother nature and the reclamation of the perfect lawn has kicked off.
lets bid them well and hope they are remembered come the 11th of the 11th when their weapons of choice are safely mothballed for another season.
